Accident: not included

Accident insurance primarily covers injuries resulting from unexpected accidents. Some things that are not covered by accident insurance, but may be covered under your health insurance or critical illness insurance include:

  • Diagnosed critical illnesses, such as cancer
  • High-risk sporting activities, such as skydiving
  • Intentional self-inflicted injuries
  • Injuries sustained while under the influence

It’s important to read the terms and conditions of your policy to understand what your accident insurance plan covers.

* Accident Insurance is a limited benefit indemnity coverage. It is not a substitute for major medical coverage.
